Here's mine
On My Desk 1 x 17" Packard Bell Monitor with speakers attached 1 x Packard Bell Scanner 1 x telephone I x TV/video Remote 1 x coaster 1 x small china dish with pebbles in it 1 x Bottle of nail Varnish 1 X table lamp cleaning wipes for keyboard 1 X Epson C42 plus printer Under the desk tangle of wires 1 packard Bell computer, don't ask the model, it's got 40GB and it's got a CD writer and dvd player and it's fine for me anyway To the left of me 1 x table 1 x TV/VCR Lots of A4 files and books relating to MSc course, covered in inch of dust To the right of me A wall, with book shelves carrying lots of videos, Psychology and Environment and Ecology text books (Don't be too impressed, also carries a full set of Poldark videos) Lots of running medals, including 8 London Marathon ones. Stuck underneath shelves on wall: Three pics of me, each ten years apart, put there by doting OH. Bloody depressing. Behind me A futon On my floor Horrid brown carpet. On desk [trolley] 1x Dell monitor 1xHP Deskjet 840c 1 pkt BASF Diskettes [high density - rather like me!] 2 coasters[pictures of Pubs inNottingham and no I don't live there ...anymore !] Pile of envelopes contailning anything from bills to messages from friends. 1x aol freeserve special offer anytimeCD [ 3months at £5.99 followed by 2 months free 'cos I tried to cancel it !] 1xbiro 1xelastic band 1xcurtain hook DUST ! Level 2 1xscanner [don't know what sort and t's covered in too much junk to look - yes i do use it]1x ancient dictionary 'cos i can't spill er spell ! pile if CDs instruction book for Computer - never used . I don't understand it and ask my son-in-law instead or LEE if she's about. Under trolley DUST [and cables] In front of me Ceramic picture [home made] To the left French window Small garden [ very pretty in summer] Behind me wall to ceiling bookcases [set of 3]full with alsorts including books and office type junk. This has taken ages and has reminded me of several things I have meant to do over the last few weeks.

In front of me Wall with painting by local artist of Hampton Court bridge over the Thames. Behind me Archway leading to kitchen All the usual stuff you would find in a kitchen plus a pile of washing up waiting to go into the dishwasher when I get around to emptying the clean stuff out of it. To my left Dining room chair with copy of Time Magazine on and a mini London A-Z. ok...
On desk packard bell moniter + speakers unfinished english coursework half empty packet of microwave popcorn bowl of half eaten coco pops sister's history essay Underneath Desk packard bell computer thingy 3 boxes full of cds paper computery things etc (my family is very orginised (NOT ME!)) lots of wires my trainers to my right two red dining room chairs tv on top of lil table/cupboard thingy with lots of toys and paper in it lots of boxes delivered 2day old compaq laptop which doesnt work anymore. To my left printer/scanner/copier all in one on top of lil cupboard with paper/stapler/hole punch kitchen with everything loads a junk cant b bothered to go into lots of wine gine etc notice board 2 phones Behind me dining table Mum going through boxes that were delivered (christmas presents already!!) My sister watching tv and yelling at me telling me it is her turn on comp erm sofa bed hi-fi on top of lil cupboardy thing with loads of cds 2 speakers tiny chair for my godson with lots of toys on it screen behind which lotssss of junk and freezer On my floor Uglllly brown carpet (not my choice has been here all my life) wires air heater thingy cos it is sooo cold and our heating doesnt work 6 plug wire thing Outside window basement hole thing with bins and 2 cellar doors more junk (really think we should start spring cleaning) Outside door stairs, bathroom door bookcase ![]() ![]() |

OK - here goes!!
On my desk/workstation 1 x 17" Tiny monitor 2 x CD towers 2 x Speakers 40 odd music CD's On lower shelf 1 x Epson C680 printer On floor 1 x Tiny hard drive/DVD combo thingy 1 x Visioneer scanner Large pile of papers, books and son's PC games, plus User guide for PC (very plain English thank God!!) In front of me Cupboard with poster of 'Titanic' on the door Printed copy of the words to 'I Hope you Dance' by LeAnn Womack (inspirational!). To my left 1 x cabinet with clock radio & telephone on top. On the shelf is another clock (that just ticks but doesn't tell the time - don't ask!!) A camera and various papers. On the floor About 30 books; fiction, non-fiction etc. I LOVE to read. To my right A fire surround with a desk tidy on it, 2 x photo's of my son, a photo of my mum and a photo of me and my late partner. Plus a table with a portable TV on and some more books!! Behind me My big bed!! with one teddy and a little soft 'Piglet' (aaawww). 1 x clothes airer. Horrid green carpet on the floor, light above and landing outside the door. That's about it. BTW - in case you hadn't guessed, my PC is in my bedroom!!!!!!! |

Well here goes..........
On top of desk. 1x Compaq 17" screen with speakers attached at the mo ( all fairly new still paying for all this equipment) 2x of paper for printer 1 drink can of coke lots of opened mail all junk an ashtray ![]() ![]() Pen and lots of written stuff which made sense when i wrote it but doesn't now 1x keybored 1 mouse and mouse mat ( which has Taz and bugs on it ) Under desk.... 1x Visioneer scanner 1x Epson stylus C40 printer 1x Modem Compaq Presario 5000 series All the above has a nice layer of dust on it Lots of cables To my left.. A wardrobe that really shouldn't still be standing as it's very old and unstable My Dad's fishing equipment On the wall is a pin bored with photos and a signed picture of Les Hill!!! ( not mine) A fibre optic christmas tree in it's box ready for december A chest of draws, like the wardrobe should not still be standing! On top of the chest of draws a tv that doesn't work To my right... A telescope waiting to be used again A big window overlooking the garden A Radiator On the floor A horrible brown carpet Lots of paper have no idea what it is i just chucked it down there ![]() A phone Behind me... A bed with lot and lots of junk on it mainly my clothes the only bit which isn't junk is my kitten who is sleeping on a pile of clothes Also a door which leads to the hall and to my room and my parents room ( the room i'm in used to be my sisters) Well i think thats it i'm in a junk room really the only good part of this room is the computer ![]() ![]() |

To set the scene: Basement room of house with small window (looking out into utility room/porch then back garden) – on two levels (1 step up). This is the higher level, commonly known as ‘The Office’

That would be wicked and double cool, ROB - pop round anytime and I'll make sure that Paul gets a private lesson.
![]() I just knew there was a subliminal reason why I tolerate OH practicing in the basement while I'm trying to watch the TV directly above! ![]() Unfortunately the drums aren't sparkly, but the kit does have shiny gold fittings, and there are some lovely silver stars on the base drum skin. I'd love to bring it with me on 2nd November, but I don't think I'd be allowed on the train with that much hand luggage. ![]() |
