Default Open season on Freddie

It looks like in the next 2 weeks, possibly this week, Freddie's time in the house will come to an end.

I have supported this guy through thick and thin and really feel for him as it will come as a shock to him when he is evicted.

It feels like it's open season on him and the gloating threads are already starting to appear.

We are already seeing childish threads on here about "wiping the smug smile off his face" which says more about the people who post them than it does about Freddie.

Bea's entry into the house has been a disaster for him. It's a big shame as his victory would not only have helped his confidence. It would also have been one in the eye for the producers who have done everything they can (here and in past series) to sabotage past maverick HMs who looked like they were going to beat their engineered favourites (ie the same thing happened last year with Rex when Nicole came in).

Neither were blameless as on each occasion character flaws were exposed which put them in a bad light.

However, I think Freddie is essentially a good person who has got carried away with the situation and is now being made to look a bit of an idiot.

He doesn't deserve to be evicted before finals night given how much he has given to the show and he certainly doesn't deserve the way Bea has treated him since she came in.

I cannot think of a more despicable person than her and as a Bristolian I am ashamed that she is representing my city on this show.

The most important thing for him now is to get back to his friends and family who love him and will tell him exactly what kind of person Bea is.

My suggestion to him would be that if he wanted to find a close friend in the BB house he should go for Angel. She has always supported him and liked him and I'm sure would be a much better person. Tom also liked him and I'm sure would be there for him.

For me, the show will come to an end when him and Marcus are evicted. I don't share the love that some people have for Siavash - I think he has been one of the most overrated HMs of recent years. Cheating on your girlfriend on National TV used to be something that would get you hated but not apparently any more. Freddie and Marcus have just made idiots of themselves - they haven't hurt anyone else.

However, I'm sure that some people will support Siavash simply to stop everyone else winning. Fine if people want to do that but it seems pretty ridiculous to me.

It will not only be the end of BB10 but of BB for good. This show has been one of the most desperate in its history - dramatic yes but an example of just about everything you can do wrong from start to finish. Even if it were to continue in its current form (which I doubt), I won't watch it.

BB producers will always make sure the show is edited in their favour. You simply can never win against them. As many said at the beginning, it all boils down to the removal of 24-hour live feed. That is the cancer that has finally destroyed the show for good.

It's all very sad. Sad for Freddie but also for a once great show which is now taking its dying breath.

Any thoughts anyone?

Pitty time is now over I don't care anymore about Freddie. If he gets evicted so be it, he can't bring anything new or fun to the house.

About time he is evicted. I'm glad people saw the real him and not only the 'Bullied Freddie'. BB10 is going to get better and better.

Typical to see more gloating arrogant threads mocking him in response.

As I said, it says more about the people who post them than it does about Freddie.

You gotta gloat back jeg - I've been told so many times I'm an idiot or worse for not feeling the Halfarse. Now allegedly we have the plonk on toast - Marcus can beat him easy with public

Pray for a twist

Well, I will be voting for Freddie. And I am not alone.

So your goodbyes may be a bit premature.

I think a twist is guaranteed. BB wouldn't be such assholes and blatantly let Lisa get on with her scheming. The show can't afford to lose one of the three amigos either.

But good post OP, I agree about Angel and Tom as his friends. They both looked out for him in the house.

........Freddie has been the most charismatic Housemate ever for me....his storyline has been the one that hooked me to this series...I suspect voters for charlie, sophie etc may pile on him...but then he has alot of supporters...if freddie does go this week, it will be vERY VERY BAD for Bea...........her reputation will NEVER recover. (See my thread what happens to bea when she is evicted)......

I think your summary is pretty much on the nail although because this is the first series for years I've watched beyond week 2 I feel it has been 'better' in some respects.

As for the Freddie hating...he was an easy target in the house and he's an easy target here for the easily pleased and mentally challenged. He could only defy the odds for so long and Bea has damaged him no doubt about it...the writing is on the wall unfortunately.

This is a very good post, and very true in everything which you have said. I am actually gutted about this truth be told, Big Brother have done everything to screw Freddie over and it's worked!

They choose who should win and not us at the end of the day, and like always they go for the dull, pretty pretty nice housemate.

Siavash had it away with Noirin even though he has a girlfreind and now hes ok? I don't understand nor get whats going on at the moment.

The show sadly is on its way and with Freddie going on Friday thats going to pretty much put the nail in it.

I don't like Bea - but I think it is an unbalanced view to put all the blame on her!! Freddie is a grown man who chose to put himself up for this!

I may be wrong - but I get the impression Freddie has led a very sheltered life and been led to believe by those around him that he is more able than he actually is! And I do think that has made him rather pompous! He is always blowing his own trumpet!! And he should stop trying to psycho-analyize everyone - he is not a psychologist!! He does have a very unrealistic view of his abilities!!That is bound to annoy people!

If he stopped acting in a superior manner - and then trying to make himself more popular by acting in a unnatural way, and copying Marcus's behaviour - making him look like a complete clown - I'm sure he would be more liked by the hm's. He is responsible for his own behaviour!

He has been bullied - but he has also participated in the bullying of others - which lost him my sympathy!!

It seems to me he has spent most of his life wrapped up in cotton wool and protected from real life - I don't understand why some still seem to continue to do that!! He is not a child that needs to be protected from all those bad people out there! He is a grown man!!

For god's sake - he wants to go in politics - he is going to have to 'toughen up' considerably to play their game!!
