Shayne McGowan is a chronic alcoholic. If they're stupid enough to put him in that kind of environment and expect it to work, they will be risking the future of the entire format. He undoubtedly needs help, but watching someone going through detox on live television is voyeurism above and beyond anything that could be described as 'entertainment'.
