Despite telling fans and HMs that he 'dont give a shlt' and balks this is 'just a game-show' we have all noticed Marcus has most definitely been a keen observer and studied Big Brother. He is in this to win.
This week he did the right thing to get Freddy evicted. Well he played the tool for Bea and Lisa, knew to 'turn around as a softy' and most definitely let Freddy become more and more arrogant and even egged him on "splash her with water" etc. Well done. The tired played-out "I really want to go home" routine was lame but fine. But what really fascinates is the way this guy can insist on being perceived as the 'straight-forward guy' who is 'honest' and doesn't backstab or gossip, yet is the worst one for it. Yesterday's hypocrisy, sneakiness, insulting behind the back was impressive from Marcy. A quick rundown: Waiting for the eviction and Marcus wishes Freddy 'Good Luck'. "Hope you stay Freddy" Freddy says "Yah.. Me too" Group says 'Good luck lads' but Marcus points at Freddy "Good Luck Freddy!" Marcus grins and grins looking at Freddy... "Its Freddy!" Okay, Now for the worst acting you have ever seen. Marcus puts on the ham of all performances: "OH COME ON... What a load of Old KaK..." Bea winks at Marcus and goes over to him. Marcus says "Had a feeling.. had a feeling" More bad acting Marcus to Freddy "You.. Bastard.." Freddy apologizes. An angry Freddy leaves to boos. Back in the living room more acting from Marcus "Oh what a load of old shlt" Bea: "I must say I thought you were staying Marcus (knowing nods), I had a gut feeling.." Marcus: " Yah.. I was.. I was honestly.. had a feeling in my gut sure I was staying because he kept saying that he was 100% sure that he was staying in... ..and when you say that.. no one likes it. no one likes people being over-confident". (Some odd looks at Marcus) With a big grin he now says "Okay.. well Im gonna spend this whole week being over-confident" Now he gets some interesting looks and glances. As if they are asking him why - if he knew that - and wanted to go - then why did he not help his friend Freddy STOP doing that and why didn't he do that? Don't worry.. Marcus covers this up by now pretending to be very angry about it. More bad acting in the DR looking like a child playing a very very cross wolverine hero: (Bea introduces him and leaves) "..before the eviction result was read out I was happy.. and after I was not so happy" Why is that? "Because you just locked me in a house with fukking idiots.. like that one who just walked out the door (Bea)" About Bea: "The woman is a fukking idiot! Look how selfish she is.. [now at this point notice how he turns on the HM who saved him this week and then starts projecting what he is just guilty of doing.. this is a very typical mental issue with Marcy] .. "complains about every little thing in this house (like publicity photos) and is just me me me me me.. and everyone else is just bumlicking each other (like he did while nominated aka being soft nice guy) ..because it close to the end. Just bumlicks. I don't want to be stuck in a house where every single person left is a bumlick... with maybe the exception of Lisa" BB asks how he intends to get along for the rest of the week with the HMs. Marcy.. always a champion in the safe DR brags: "I have no idea.. I think I might just smash your poxxy little cardboard house to its foundations.. how bout those fukking apples?" Later Marcus is pretending to be disappointed in front of Lisa who says he should be happy the people wanted him to stay in. He first says he likes that but then complains it has nothing to do with them. "They control it.. the editing... nothing to do with us". Interestingly enough, when Bea was then called into the DR she was not complaining about every little thing (like having to pretend she wanted to be evicted) and was very positive and upbeat, and, Surprisingly generous about Marcus saying "well there is no love lost but I feel like I know Marcus" "I know he has quite good points to his personality and honestly but positively says they are 80% different but does complain he does what.. swears and is negative and 'eff this eff that' etc. So that was just a little recap on the phony Marcus, the way he will sell-out people to make himself look good, his hypocrisy, his back-biting and gossip and his cowardly attitude. In case you missed it on the daily show. |

I think he obviously is playing the game but come on, give him some credit, he is doing it extremely well! And I really don't care that he is. He probably does have the biggest game plan but that's what it is all about and I certainly think he is a very intelligent, entertaining guy that deserves to go all the way!

If Marcus KNEW that you get evicted if you go about being over-confident and boasting about how you were 100% confident of staying.. Why didn't he do just exactly that as a way to wind up the fans against him? and/or Why didn't he, at the very least, advise Freddy to STOP doing that and saying such things? Do you want to try and answer that? |

If Freddie had got involved in that argument that night it would have escalated into a full on row, so I think he did the right thing sending him back to bed. It was a discussion between Bea and Marcus.
He does want to win, I'm sure he does. All this 'I want to go home' is a load of bollocks, I agree but so what! Everyone has a game plan. A lot of people just don't see through his. However, does it really matter? I don't care what anyone says about him, there's no doubt he is an extremely clever guy and absolutely hilarious. MARCUS TO WIN! |

What I just despise is people who do such things but then make a point of boasting up how they are a 'straight talker' and how they 'don give a shlt' and why they should be known as the honest HM who says what they mean and are face-value players. but worse.. ..the worst of it is that Marcus spends a lot of time claiming to be 'just himself' and all these noble 'real deal' attributes. Now having said that I can at least respect you for seeing his duplicity and insincerity. Good! At least you see acknowledge that is why you are entertained by him. I find Bea very entertaining (granted levels beyond Marcus) but she is just a diabolical manipulator and I know that. I do have to say this though - if you think Marcus is intelligent and entertaining then there might be something wrong with you. Contact someone about that. |

but, Funny how nobody mentioned how, when Bea complained about 'Him, Freddy and Marcus', Marcus interrupted "Don't throw me in with them.. especially Siavash.. ..he is a ****ing *******.. freeloader.. wants to look cool" Not to mention he just gave Bea plenty to work with the moment he said that. But, Later bumlicks Siavash. Later complains about how everyone EXCEPT him does that. The worst kind of cheap little hypocrite. |

EXcellent overview everything I was thinking , Marcus thinks he has it in the bag because he knows BB and how it works, what he seems to forget is that he is a sleazy foul mouthed wierdo who wears a vest and pulls his jeans up too high, he thinks woman know nothing and really believed Noireen did actually want him eeeeeeeuuuuwwwww as if, he has a mullet for godsake,

You never answered my question about how you know Marcus didn't talk to Freddie about toning down the over-confidence. I'm not saying Marcus is not a player of games - but your argument is full of holes. |

I agree, there's something about Marcus I dont fully trust. I think Freddie and Siavash looked up to him as some leader figure, but he is not a true freind to either of them... else he woldnt have said sh*t behind their backs like that.
I think Siavash was a better friend to Freddie. And its obvious Marcus didnt really want to go.... he was just saying it to save face if he DID get evicted |

You didn't answer my question, however, everything we discuss is based on the information available to us. Even if we had live-feeds we could still insist secret conversations happened. Anyways, your 'argument' seems to be that he may have told Freddy to tone it down. Not possible and here is why: Marcus, as usual, couldn't even wait 10 seconds to say "I knew it.. I had a gut feeling.. I thought he would go because he kept saying he was 100% sure'. Right away. He made it clear 'he knew it'. but, IF he had warned Freddy not to boast (knowing it would lead to his eviction) at any point - Marcus would have made a point of announcing it with: "I TOLD HIM... remember I warned him.. I TOLD Freddy not to DO THAT... now look what happened.. I CALLED IT Perfectly!" Marcus petty ego needs are as good as scientific proof positive beyond a reasonable doubt. /case |
