It has become so pc these days that people are labeled by their sexuality.
Even the people being labeled are fed up with it. We are all equal and sexuality has no meaning on this and the more these pc politicians try to help the gay and bi community the more they harm it. I believe we are now equal straight gay and bi and no one needs "special" treatment. You do not need to be told david is gay?? Why don't straight people get the same treatment?? "straight" marcus?? Just had to get that off me chest ![]() |

I hate you all.

It's still a form of prejudice, or at least that's how it probably feels. Rather than being labelled and described as, for example, "witty" or "cunning", their sexual preference is all they are known for. That overrides personality clearly.

Those in the house haven't seen any press for a while so they're guessing that's how they've been labelled. There's no more insult in referring to "gay David" than there is referring to "Hippy Bea..."

Sexuality, much like gender, still determines certain aspects of your personality though.
It's not like skin colour which has abolutely nothing to do with who you are. |

Maybe so but you dont have to lable people as gay bi or str8 the same as you dont have to label people by the colour of their skin. As a previous poster sated we are all the same whatever our colour of skin is or our sexual preferences |

It's true that pressure from others can influence how you feel, how you perceive yourself etc. but given that everyone is unique, you really cannot generalise on an individual basis. I'm sure that heterosexual people would not like the prefix "breeder" before their names. Terms lilke that just show one dimensional aspects of people. |

Obviously, it's better that someone's sexuality isn't the first thing mentioned in their description, but these are still personality profiles we are talking about and being gay or straight is just as much as part of your personality as the sort of people you would click with and whether you're naturally shy or outgoing. |
