Erm ... Channel 4 do? And if it rates rubbish then they'll axe it because it wont make them money.

And these people call themselves journalists. Doesn't matter whos discussing it, how many, how frequently etc. If it doesn't bring in the money then theres no point in continuing[/rquote]

I'm afraid that you quoted the words but missed the point. Even though the ratings have dropped for the show, the ratings are still very good for a channel 4 program. And, as mentioned in the article immediately after your quote, if channel 4 was so obsessed with ratings, they wouldn't be offering many of the shows currently on the channel because they get little or no ratings (paraphrased, natch).[/rquote]

Need to look at costs though and BB is a v expensive show. If a show costs £4m and gets 2m viewers where another show costs £1m and gets 1m viewers, they're going to opt for the cheapest one even though they'll get less viewers. it will get more profit

I agree with what the article is saying but any so called media journalist would know such a basic thing

freddie, marcus and siavash![/rquote

I agree - Freddie, Marcus & Siavash should have been in the final.

You are forgetting about sponsorship though. Lucozade (or however you spell it) paid quite a bit to have sponsorship of the show. C4 absolutely made money on it. No question.
