David exposed as a money grabber..
Ironically, but unbeknown to him, he has zero chance of winning. If he knew that, it might affect his behaviour![/rquote]

Exactly he thinks he might have a chance..poor deluded soul..

[rquote=2511942&tid=145097&author=delta]He said he had no problems taking the cash if offered £50 k to walk out.

He may have been playing to the rules on Golden Balls, but there is an over riding ethical way of playing it as others have pointed out on DS forum.

You cannot then go on to proclaim that you are whiter than white and holier than thou after pulling such a stunning **** on national TV.[/rquote]

Exactly...my thoughts, there is nothing wrong with winning money, its the way you do it.. and his method is the worst..cause he aint gonna win the money..

Ridiculous. Goldenballs is a COMPLETELY different show. Its a mad rush to make as much money as possible in a short time...thats the point!

Big brother is more of a long winded social experience. The real prize is the fame it gets you when you leave the show. Thats what most want.

I've never felt that David believes he could actually win. Never ever.

Grow up.

You have a very simplistic way of seeing things. Childlike even.

People can go on different shows for different reasons. Geddit?

None of that actually argues against David being a moneygrabber. Yes it is a different show, but it is not a mad rush for money at all, many of the players split, after hearing heartfelt pleas, only to find those pleas we're false, and they feel betrayed, David betrayed one of these people, it's just a game does not apply because of the heartfelt pleas. If you fake what is in your heart then this by itself shows David to be a moneygrabber. He could of Split, but he wanted the extra doh!

No, I never pictured you as a lithe person, funnily enough.

People who spend 24/7 spewing hate threads on forums usually aren't!

I think they have all been a little bit wierd and a bit too keen to look aghast and look heaven-ward at the very mention of prize money..

what is wrong with admitting you can do with the odd £100k?

I think Sophie may be the only one not too bothered...since I am sure she can quickly rack that up with some well-placed mag/modelling deals once she's out.

Apologees if this seems irrelavant and i dont want to bore anyone but i like to go off on one from time to time.

this discussion reminds me of the Milgrim Experiment where a Doctor asked people to administer an electric shock to a person being asked questions by them if they got a question wrong. The fake, but believed by the questioners, screams we're audable and upon a wrong answer the shock voltage was increased to fatal levels. The experiment showed a high magority of people after being co-erced by the Doctor (figure of authority) would take the voltage up to deadly levels, even though they could hear the screams, and they understood the deadly nature of their actions, they continued to ask questions, administer the shock, and raise the voltage and continue.

Well what was happening was normal people we're convinced to disregard their morals and principles because the Doctor was telling them it was ok, he would take the blame not them. That is what happens in Golden balls.

You can be a liar, ( torcherer ) because it's just a game show ( experiment ) and i won't be judged by my actions. The questioners let go of their morals because they had permission, just as David and other contestants do.

I know of that exact experiement can completely agree with you on that, that is what i see David and others as, people if told by a higher authority will do anything.

There is nothing in them that says should i question this or am i doing right, cause when they do that, that is exactly when you transcend the boundaries within which you are enclosed.. but hey thats a great post, you can start a new thread on that.
