Of course it is human and only natural to like or dislike people, that is fair enough. I suppose I was aiming this towards the people who have really strong OTT hatred towards the housemates. I just find that really irrational.[/rquote]

It is simply because some of the haters, dont really have a life, so they pour all their fustrations into hating on one or two housemates.

Because they pour so much emotion into it, when that housemate is evicted or the series ends they suddenly realise it was just a TV show and the housemate(s) they hated will probably never cross their path again.

This in turn leads to more fustration adding to the original feelings. So they go back to hating the housemate because after it it was that person who caused all the hatred.

They really can't get over it consequently the following series they will refer back to the housemate(s) they hated in the previous series.
