Default It's 9/9/09: Will the world end today?
It's 9/9/09 and the doom-mongers have predicted in the past that the world will end today.

But if you're reading this, then we think it's safe to assume it hasn't.

The ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year, was said by some to signify the end of the planet.

Over the past few weeks, bloggers and conspiracy theorists have devoted their energies to convincing us that the numbers have mystical significance.

Would the world be sucked into a black hole created by the Cern particle collider in Switzerland?, some asked.

Others were certain there would be a devastating outbreak of killer swine flu.

One user of the alien-earth.org website reportedly wrote: "Note that 999 is 666 upside down."

But instead, the most exciting thing likely to happen today is the announcement of a possible new Apple iPod or release of the Beatles back catalogue by Apple.

Today's 9/9/09 is set to follow in the same way that the millennium passed without a single horseman of the apocalypse and when three years ago that 06/06/06 turned out to be a pretty boring Tuesday.

My question is. Would 'Doomsaday' date come true? All the other consiricies this deacade have been proven wrong. Will Doomday come true?
