You can have quite a private life if you want to though. Obviously you can't expect not be papped once in a while and for people to want pictures or autographs if they see you. But you can still have a relatively private life. Take That are hardly ever papped or in the magazines unless they want to be. Before the GQ Awards the other day I hadn't seen a picture of Mark since July! Us fans are relatively good as well,we stalk them outside hotels but never stalk them at home or whatever cos they want a life.

A lot of people say "oh that's just common sense, if they didn't want it they shouldn't be famous" - I always find this to be a bit of a poor excuse for people to feed the disgusting business. Rummaging through celebrities' bins, encouraging randomers to 'spot' them in magazines, the, quite frankly, stalking that some paparazzi do - it's all horrific.

I understand some 'celebrities' shamelessly ***** themselves out in front of the camera, and have no sympathy for the likes of Katie Price, Kerry Katona, Chantelle, whatever - but musicians like Amy Winehouse have never gone to magazines and said "yeah I've just renovated my kitchen, EXCLUSIVE NOW."

I'd hate to lose my privacy, especially just because I was talented and well-known

Very true.
I don't mind talentless celebrities (Chanelle, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears...) being stalked all day long because they only got this to be talked about while I feel terrible for people who are actually talented and get stalked 24/7.
It's ridiculous the amount of bullshit you can read in papers today, who gives a damn about who slept with who, what colours was her thong etc...

To be honest, the biggest problem in here is that little girls don't want to be teachers or housewifes like 30 years ago. Now, when teachers ask them what they want to be in the future, they say 'I want to be famous'. It's scary because some young people get into this without thinking of the consequences and regret it so badly.

Actually that reminds me of something. When I was outside Take That's hotel in Manc,Gary's wife came out the side with their kids and there was like 2 paps there who took their pic which really irritated me cos they weren't even with Gary! Us lot left the kids alone. And no I am not a stalker,waiting outside a hotel is not stalking! Waiting outside their house would be.

Musicians are the worst for it. Most respectful actors and actresses manage to keep away from that.

You can't generalize groups of celebs! The majority of celebs who get papped put them out there to get papped. Take That hardly ever get papped,as Gaz said Avril Lavinge hardly ever does either. It is most of the time up to the celeb.

yah she's very private, especially since she's had her son.
