I remember sitting up until after 12 to watch thriller on MTVUS, the presenter was Vincent Hanley, who died years later of AIDS.  Brilliant show and without it I would never had heard any american music! [/rquote] 
 
That A-ha video was so effective and it still holds up today.  I found it quite sad and moving as a kid lol.  Trying to think of other old classic ones.[/rquote] 
 
At the time I thought what utter rubbish. Why all the crap drawings with pencils?
