By the standards of reviews, of TV talent show people, by 'serious' music journalists that's a fairly good score.
I was looking at the archives and Will Young's first single got a similar mark - 5 - and review that doesn't read quite as positive as David's. Will's duet with Gareth was really slated though.  Darius's album was quite highly thought of mind you.
