I know this probably won't help... but:
-Start
-Control Panel
-Network Connections
-Right click your network connection
-Choose Properties
-Scroll down to Internet Protocol (IP)
...There is stuff there about how you obtan your IP address but it's probably got nowt to do with your problem knowing me.
Always worth a try...
