Thats what Liverpool lack, a clinical finisher..Robbie Fowler when 100% fit will surely get you the goals but no striker in your team is a 25+ a season goal scorer

Fowler had a great chance at the begining.

They had the chances and took them but there keeper was just lucky today.

Liverpool should sign Luca Toni from Fiorentina or Yakubu.

Liverpool are signing player after player who ends up playing 20 minutes of a game.

It's foreign player after foreign player.

Neither would be a bad signing especially Toni, Yakubu has the tendancy to be greedy a little and needs to lay off the pies a bit. I'd probably go for Dirk Kuyt of Feyenoord right now, Also i don't think Cameron Jerome of Cardiff would be a bad signing either

Kuyt would be a good signing, if he has a good world cup there is going to be a lot of teams trying to sign him and it seems very likely he will be leaving Feynoord in the summer. I've heard Liverpool have scouted Cameron Jerome but it would be a very big step up for him. I can see him proably going to a mid-table premiership side at first though.

The problem with Kuijt, or Kuyt (depending on where you are in the world ala van Nistelrooy and van Nistelrooij) is that alot of people back home think he's a small league player.

I personally remain unconvinced by him. He has the talent and would suit the more physical English League as opposed to the more technical Serie A/ La Liga, but he lacks ambition and when things aren't going well, will disappear.

He's worth a gamble, but one guy that will be a success in a big league would be Jefferson Farfan of PSV. He can play as a secondary striker or out wide. I doubt there is a better player in Holland right now.

Mick McCarthy been sacked by Sunderland, bit pointless when they are basically relegated already.
