Default OAP task lol

Whenever I see these types of tasks now, i cant but help think about that scene in 'Extras' when Ricky Gervais's character is talking about how celebrities 'hand in their dignity's at the door' when they go on Big brother. And then all of the contestants have to dance whenever the song 'tradgedy' comes on!

Its how i imagine Vinnie is feeling in this task, lol. Must be thinking 'what the hell am i doing?!' lol

I am not watching it, but he's probably wondering how he can intimidate and manipulate them all!

I don't think it would be interesting to watch old people and it doesn't appear to be interesting to watch people pretend to be old lol

Frankly I'm disgusted by this task and I find it very offensive. Not all OAPs live in old people's homes and have liquidised food. This is a horrific task, if truth be told. I am very tempted to complain to Ofcom about this as it's a very negative portrayal of older people. It's very disrespectful.

Stephen is a negative portrayal of Christianity. Why not complain to Ofcom about that too?

Stephen isn't a negative portrayal of Christianity. The way he expresses his views is different to others, it doesn't make him a negative portrayal.

If the housemates had a problem with him reading the Bible, they should have told him. So far, no one has told him to his face regarding the situation. In fact, some of the housemates want him to read the Bible such as Alex Reid and Stephanie Beacham enjoyed the readings as well.

Stephen's a fantastic person in my opinion.

So you endorse the way he's treating Nicola?

How very Christian.

Gavin give it up, we know you're playing us with the whole "Christian" act.

He's not treating Nicola badly. He hasn't bullied her, shouted at her, attacked her, etc.

Stephen believes that he was correct regarding the rule breaing situation. He is simply explaining to Nicola in a decent manner what he thinks. He hasn't done anything malicious to Nicola.

There is no act. I am a firm follower of Christianity.

I didn't even bring up Christianity in this thread. It was another poster who first talked about my faith. Maybe you should tell them to "give it up".

Seems to me like the right thing to ask Big Brother to confirm it to him instead of assume he's correct, but instead he bitches to everyone behind her back with comments such as 'I'll slay her' and even one about 'decapitating' her.

Is that Christian?

Stephen has self belief and thinks he is correct. He thinks he doesn't need to go to BB for full clarification.

He was obviously joking when he said he'd "slay her". He didn't say it maliciously or aggressively. We've seen far worse in the BB house over the years.

What do you mean by "Is that Christian"? What are you referring to as "that".

Christians aren't perfect, you know. Like everyone else we make mistakes and say things which we regret in the future. In this particular situation, Stephen didn't cross the line IMO.

It's just a task, a bit of fun and a challenge for the housemates
It is not representing all old people by any means
At no point did it mention that all old people live like that
The task is to test the housemates, and I'm pretty sure you were one of the people complaining that there are no good tasks etc?? Well no wonder if everything Big Brother does is going to be deemed inappropriate or offensive or disrespectful in one way or another. People who complain about Big Brother are the people who ultimately bring it down.

I'm referring to his handling of the situation and his comments.

Christians might not be perfect, but I never thought they'd even joke about 'decapitating' people. (And before you ask, it was on BBLB.)
