BEFORE she was famous, Chantelle Houghton was a “self-centred, thick blonde bimbo”.

We are in no position to confirm or refute this picture of the Celebrity Big Brother babe, not having met her before her meteoric rise to fame and fortune.

This is what the Sun says “TV bosses” thought of Chantelle when they first met her in auditions for Big Brother 6.

Back then, Chantelle, contestant number LB284, was also described as someone “with the potential to be a complete bitch”.

And there was more. Chantelle was “obsessed with her looks and cannot live without make-up”. And: “Wants to be strong and independent but probably isn’t.”

Not that any of these character traits are a barrier to fame and fortune. We like our stars flawed, and Chantelle is certainly a star.

It also saves time if we know all about her past, negating any need for an undercover reporter to stick a tea towel on his head and boot polish on his top lip.

So let us hear Chantelle tell the fame makers in her 2005 audition that she had slept with ten men, three on one-night stands.

She was bullied at school. She hates men who break wind. She hates Prince Charles. She gets drunk on just two glasses of wine. And, if the role requires it, she would indeed shower naked in front of the Big Brother cameras.

And do it all in the best possible taste...

On the application forms, you have to try to make yourself sound interesting, so its inevitable that you'll end up lying. She said in another interview that she has only been with 4 men, so I guess thats her lie.
