“Respect? Not much, especially from other journalists, who have publicly called [the Golden Globes voters] moochers, boneheads and bottom-feeders.”
- Andy Seiler, USA Today “Never mind that the [Golden Globe] is considered a joke, given the dubious credentials of the 90-odd foreign journalists who pick the winners.” - Peter Travers, Rolling Stone They sold out. The only hope of a proper award show is the Baftas. but I'm not holding out on them this time. |

Third time you've mentioned "selling out" and you've still yet to prove why this is a "statement of fact". Are you sure this message is not supposed to have an impact? Because you seem pretty hung up on it.
Look, this is a pointless argument that cannot be proven either way with solid "facts". I can tell your dying for the last word on the subject, so I'll give it to you. Quote me on this message, respond in any way you see fit, just let it be known that I won't be responding. This argument was over before it even began. |

So you believe Avatar should win best film at the Oscars too? When I think of the majestic sci-fi films that have been made throughout the history of cinema and who never even came close to winning this prize, it makes me shudder at the thought of Avatar - a visually dazzling film with an horrendous, juvenile, paint by the numbers storyline and wafer thin characters - even being considered for the award.
