I'm sure you'll somehow blame Vinnie for the war anyway

He joined the army they tell him where to go.
we both don't agree to the war but there it is.
This is getting ludicrously Off Topic

Umm The July the 7th Bombings perhaps! lol

Its a war on Terror, trying to stop things like another 9/11 and july the 7th bombings from happening.

also British troops are known for winning hearts and minds, take care of the women and children, they even appeal to have toys and things sent over to give the kids at xmas.

alot of the brit troops give there gifts away family members have sent them for xmas to the kids there.

the people shooting back are 'defending' their land from foreign invaders....

if someone invaded your house, would you offer them a cup of tea?

instead of shooting at innocent people why not refuse to go out there?

the army is here to defend our land...not fly thousands of miles to attack people who pose no threat to us , on behalf of a third nation (usa) in order to steal their natural resources (oil and opium)

The invasion of Iraq was a long time in the pipeline, (pun intended). The US told its allies before 9/11 of their plans. The Taleban were frustrating the US's plans to build a pipeline to connect oil to Asia. The War on Terror is a lie:

Quote:
Regarding the placement of the Unocal Pipeline, a US Official delivered this ultimatum to the Taliban (via the Pakistani delegation acting as their interlocutors): "Either you accept our offer of a carpet of gold, or we bury you under a carpet of bombs." (Ref: Jean-Charles Brisard and Guillaume Dasquie in "Forbidden Truth" (31) (Book's Preface online-pdf format (32) )

surely invading a country and killing their civilians is only going to breed more terrorism?

if we pull out there is no need for terrorism to occur? its very simple..

Do people still believe in the concept of a war of terror? Good grief. Wake up, you are being brainwashed. The 'war on terror' is a non stop scare scenario designed to get you to give up your rights one at a time. How exactly could a war on terror actually exist? Did we just let terrorists run amok before the war of terror? When the war of terror ends, are they going to all walk free and continue to blow **** up because the war on them is over?

That said, not all soldiers agree with the flow, like Henessy said.

John Major made a momentous statement on NI when he said Britain had no strategic interest there. Problem solved. The reason there is a war on terror in Afghanistan is because the US has very definite strategic aims and interests there - oil!
