I'm back! :-)
|
I have far too much time on my hands what with Uni timetable cut back and being off work for damaged nerves in my leg...
Anyway, I have really different tastes in music compared to the other members who have posted these so far. Overall, my music is mostly from recent times - just my preference. And I have tried to keep Girls Aloud to a minimum as appart from them I have lots of songs I love.  Opinions welcome!#101 GUILLEMOTS - ANNIE LET'S NOT WAIT Why?: Get's stuck in my head loads and love the line "i love you and that's all you need to know". #100 MELANIE FIONA - GIVE IT TO ME RIGHT Why?: It's sexy. And it uses a sample well. #99 THE ROLLING STONES - ANYBODY SEEN MY BABY? Why?: Reminds me of my Mum. We used to sing it on roadtrips! <3 #98 CELINE DION - TAKING CHANCES Why?: The build up and final chorus are just immense. Gotta love the Dion! #97 GIRLS ALOUD - LOVE IS THE KEY Why?: It has a simple formula but it works so well. The harmonica reminds of the Rolling Stones and it's quirky. #96 SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO - I BELIEVE Why?: Not too sure why. #95 JONAS BROTHERS - BURNING UP Why?: It's fun, edgy, catchy and upbeat. Good video too. #94 ROSS COPPERMAN - SHOUT Why?: If you like big piano ballad numbers with a good build up. This is for you! #93 SUGABABES - ACE REJECT Why?: It's so refereshing. And Keisha's vocals are so, so good. Love it. #92 TOKYO POLICE CLUB - NATURE OF THE EXPERIMENT Why?: Because I have no idea what instruments are used. And because it's short and sweet - a lot like their other work. #91 JACK PENATE - TONIGHT'S TODAY Why?: One of my summer tunes. I love songs like this where you can just become lost in them. I adore this song. #90 KLAXONS - GRAVITY'S RAINBOW Why?: Groovy guitar solo's and a killer chanting chorus! #89 MADONNA - SORRY Why?: I love the beat that sounds like it's beneath you. #88 BRITNEY SPEARS - BORN TO MAKE YOU HAPPY Why?: Reminds of being a kid and playing Crash Team Racing on the PS1. #87 HOT HOT HEAT - BANDAGES Why?: I love the verses, they are insane. It's a weird indie song but it's quite uplifting. #86 LA ROUX - I'M NOT YOUR TOY Why?: I love it's quirkyness. It's one of those songs where when I first heard it, I knew it would be one of my favourite songs. #85 SHANIA TWAIN - DON'T BE STUPID (YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU) Why?: Violins galore! Uplifting much. #84 JC CHASEZ - ALL DAY LONG I DREAM ABOUT SEX Why?: I love singing along to this one. JC is hot stuff. #83 LEIGHTON MEESTER - BODY CONTROL Why?: I love her voice sfm. It's so catchy. #82 BLONDIE - MARIA Why?: It's so charismatic. #81 DELTA GOODREM - BELIEVE AGAIN Why?: Build ups are my thing. This doesn't disappoint. #80 JANET JACKSON - WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY? Why?: Janet old school. Simple formula - 80's beat + hooks + 'oooooh yeah' = winner. #79 BRYN CHRISTOPHER - SMILIN' Why?: Reminds me of an ex, is quite haunting. #78 FREEMASONS - WHEN YOU TOUCH ME Why?: Camptastic. Good dance song. #77 VAMPIRE WEEKEND - HORCHATA Why?: It's so bloody random but very American preppy type tune. Love the instrument sequences. #76 GIRLS ALOUD - MODELS Why?: One of my favourite album tracks from them. It's so upbeat, quirky, uplifting and jampacked with so many hooks and unforgettable lyrics. Amazing! #75-50 coming soooooon!......

And the 'you threw it awayyyy-ayyyy'. #73 THE CRIBS - MOVING PICTURES Why?: Fantastic band. This song pulls at the heart strings. #72 SPILLER FEAT. SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR - GROOVEJET Why?: Summer anthem. Love hearing this when i'm out. #71 JUNIOR SENIOR - MOVE YOUR FEET Why?: Sounds nothing else. So feel good. #70 ARCTIC MONKEYS - OLD YELLOW BRICKS Why?: Sounds quite dark. #69 BRITNEY SPEARS - PHONOGRAPHY Why?: So fierce. It's got a bad ass chorus. #68 WALE - CHILLIN FEAT. LADY GAGA Why?: EXTREMELY catchy. I couldn't get this out my head for ages. I love Gaga's bridge too. #67 NERINA PALLOT - EVERYTHING'S ILLUMINATED Why?: I love her voice, this is definitely her best song and a strong fan fave. #66 BLUR - GIRLS AND BOYS Why?: Blur > Oasis. This song is a classic.

I want old Lindsay back!  #63 ROGUE TRADERS - WE'RE COMING HOME Why?: Natalie Basingthwaite at her best imo. #62 JOSS STONE - TELL ME 'BOUT IT Why?: Funky, under-rated tune.
