Steve, I think the best chance they have of doing just that is to take a fairly average cross section of people.
Then give them something to bind them together, like meaningful tasks and a challenge - it works equally well in BB and in Celeb Fame Academy.
Ordinary people come out of their shells and surprise everybody, not least themselves, when they are put in extraordinary situations.
I think James may well be right about them actively avoiding the Elizabeth/Dean factor.
I am sure Dean would have been fine without her though, and we would have been subjected to a lot less deckchair philosophy. They almost turned Brian into a human deckchair at the end as well!
I hope they avoid the stereotypes and just go for people they instinctively like.

Then, as Sticks suggests, they should put it all to bed after a spectacular 'Where are they now?' session around Christmas.
