Threw on the old Clash of the Titans after being subjected to the drivel of it's remake. This years version makes the old one look like a fecking masterpiece!

Fast and Furious (2009)

Great film.

Good to see the old cast back, although its not as good as the first (due to not really being about modding cars).. but it has a good story line, and Vin is a beast in it just throws people around like they are paper..

The Taking of Pelham 123.
Passable enough thriller which amazingly enough benefits from Tony Scott's frenetic style of filmmaking, where a rather run-of-the-mill storyline with barely any action scenes of note is brought to life with his fast editing style, creating much more energy and tension, rather than the opposite, which is usually the case with his flicks because they are quite often overloaded with set pieces and thereby suffer from overkill. And what is it about Denzel Washington that makes him so watchable, even in mediocre stuff like this?

Casablanca. Legendary film - watched it for the first time last night and noticed so many idioms and quotes that are now iconic. Here's looking at you, kid.

Half-Blood Prince last Saturday. Still love it although it's not in my top three HP films.

Just attempted to watch 2012 but decided on watching it tomorrow instead.

Shutter Island. A good film with a mental twist at the end.

Whip It.

Impressive directional debut from Drew Barrymoore. Ellen page was (once again) brilliant. She's an Oscar winner in the making. It's a shame about some of the other performances... *caugh* Eve *caugh*

Run, Fat Boy, Run

Funny, endearing, moving, a little bit predictable but perfect for a Saturday night. Simon Pegg is funny as feckerty and excellent in the film. Cool soundtrack too

Nights in Rodante

It was alright but the other 2 Nicholas Sparks films I've seen(The Notebook and A Walk To Remember) are my 2 fav movies of all time and it didn't measure up to them at all.

American Psycho

I was curious to see how this flick has aged as I hadn't watched it since my first time which is almost 10 years ago now and, to be fair, it's still an interesting and unnerving experience, with Bale giving a quite exceptional performance. These are the kinda roles that he's built for really..... icy cool and arrogant.
