Big Brother loser turned model Stephanie McMichael is ready for a television ’showdown’ with judge Cheryl Cole when McMichael’s girl group The LiverBirds appear at auditions in June, according to reports. Stephanie was kicked off of Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 after Cheryl apparently raised suspicions about her age.

After pressing from show producers Stephanie admitted she was only 13 years old, well below the 16 year old age limit to apply for the show.

Steph’s mum, Jo, said: “Cheryl was quizzing her about her age because I think that she was a bit suspicious.

“Stephanie made loads of stories up. It was quite difficult for her.”

Stephanie’s girl group has reportedly impressed the judges in the pre-auditions and will now perform in front of the judges in June.

Jo added: “She was gutted. She could have been in Girls Aloud and had that taken away. Being bigger than Cheryl would be good revenge.”

Fame hungry Stephanie appeared in the 2008 series of Big Brother where she was the first to be evicted, let’s hope she has a little more success on The X Factor…
