Of course newspapers have political allegiances, they are run by human beings with thoughts, opinions and beliefs. The way that news is reported can never be entirely objective and it is naive to believe otherwise.
How about people taking responsibility for their own opinions rather than swallowing what the newspapers say without question? But I guess that involves reading all the manifestos and making considered decisions as to what is and is not important for the country and yourself. It's probably far easier and less effort to just spout off party mantra without any input from your brain at all.
