I'm also a fan of film grain and analogue photography, but sadly digital filming has largely replaced it due to being less costly. Suffice to say, analogue movies look even grainier on blu-ray.
The one thing though that I would love to watch on Blu-Ray or HD is any wildlife series from BBC, like Planet Earth or Blue Planet. I'd say they are spectacular on it.
