TAYLOR HICKS!!
Soul singer Taylor Hicks has won the 2006 series of American Idol. The final show, which took place last night, took a massive 63.4 million votes, with Hicks beating Katharine McPhee into second place The finale show featured duets between the final contestants and worldwide music stars, including Meatloaf and Mary J Blige. Hicks had been told in the original auditions that he did not have the right image to be a pop star, but gained a devoted legion of supporters as the series progressed. |

Ugh, what a sham!
The man is like some drunk dad prancing about singing karaoke at a family wedding. Kat should have won... won by a mile.
