Default Bullying Threads?

Why is everything always about bullying?

As soon as there's a disagreement between more than 2 people, everyone starts shouting "bully". It's getting a bit tedious. Last year, it was about Maxwell, Saskia, etc. with constant threads calling them bullies. This year it's starting again.

Face facts. It's not a popularity contest. It's not an arena for making friends. It's a bl00dy gameshow, and everyone in that house is there to win the money/fame or launch their "career" in television. Everyone is there for completely selfish reasons. That's the nature of the show.

If people are so fragile or feel like they have always been made to feel different, then they shouldn't be on such a brutal show. BB is meant for secure people who can handle emotional ups and downs. I do not feel sorry for any HM who gets singled out, or bitched about, or argued with, or insulted. If you can't take that, then stay at home. This is the 7th BB. There is no excuse for HMs not knowing what to expect. Six shows have gone before, and everyone knows what happens on them!

I don't necessarily like the personalities of the people who go on BB, but there is a game to be played, money to be won, and they can and will play it as they see fit.

As for the argument that they are setting a bad example to kids watching... Kids shouldn't be watching it. The show is not aimed at young kids. If they are old enough to watch it then they are old enough to know right from wrong and not go around copying what they see on BB. That one is about as ludicrous as "Eminem made me kill my parents".

Sorry about the long-winded thread, but I just thought I would make my point.

Bullying is part of the show in my opinion. It is not nice but you will always get people talking behind others back, people hiding others belongings like make up last year....that is all bullying and it happens every day on tv and people think nothing of it. No wonder there is bullying in schools when kids watch big brother. Nobody seems to stop their kids watching it as it is popular and in the papers daily. I do believe that any housemate that goes on big brother is subjected to some type of bullying at some time in the house because that is the way the show goes.

I dont think it is nice to see someone being bullied but I also think that some people find it entertaining. When someone gangs up on someone that is bullying and it is seen every year which should make people aware of it and know that there is a chance that that can happen to them.

As we are the watchers we can only judge on what we see, if there are 3 people having a go at one person that is bullying...It is the people who go on the show like Jodie Marsh knowing forwell what it can be like then moaning about it when they get out that annoys me.

Bully!

As I said in a previous thread. People use the term bully here, and I don't think it means what they think it means.

Bullying is a serious issue in the real world. I'm not denying that, obviously.

But, ffs...it's a GAMESHOW! You know what I mean?

To bully (verb)
1 : to treat abusively
2 : to affect by means of force or coercion
intransitive senses : to use browbeating language or behavior : BLUSTER
synonym see INTIMIDATE

A bully (noun)
1 - archaic a : SWEETHEART b : a fine chap
2 - a : a blustering browbeating person; especially : one habitually cruel to others who are weaker b : PIMP
3 : a hired ruffian (brutal person)

Well, in my view, pointing a finger at someone's face and threatening them is intimidating!
But some people here might find the archaic definition suitable for Sezar!

Highly doubtful!!!

Obviously there are arguments. But in the BB environment can we justifiably call it real bullying? I think it's a gross over-reaction to what is basically a row.

All I am saying is that, by the dictionary definition, Sezar was being a bully! With Shabaz and with Richard!
And, worse, I think he is proud of it!
I was lucky to grow up without knowing the meaning of that!
Actually, where I come from, it is not very common for kids to be bullies!

And Stropz, I am still here because of you!

I think Stropz has hit the nail on the head. All this crying of 'bullying' is just ridiculous. But it happens everytime really, look at Jodie in the last CBB.

When people hear something they dont like they often shout bully! I think that Richard has given out as much as he has recieved in that house. They are simply playing a game and they all want to win!

Correct!

i dont think richard got bullied last night though. he thought he would get away with hiding the beer in the garden and failed and then brought up about sezer talking about people within the argument. he then got shot down and not even one of his 'friends' jumped to his defence. it was comical viewing.

i felt sorry for richard though, hes a nice fellar, but there was no need to bring up that sezer was talking about people, but luckily mikey and even gyln put him in his place.
