England were awful
no pride in wearing their country shirts
fans spending a ton of money goign over there and seen that type of football must wish they didn't

Rooney can **** right off. As can the rest of the overpaid, mollycoddled *****. Those supporters you're so keen to slag off you ugly scouse bastard earn (and they actually earn as opposed to "are paid") about 1/3 a YEAR of what you get paid every week. They've spent probably in the region of a couple of months wages to watch you and your smug complacent mates be an utter ****ing disgrace to the shirt - you know, less than the amount of money you regularly drop in a quiet night in a club to impress your gaggle of vacuous hangers-on on a weekly basis. So **** off, **** the lot of you. Not getting any ****ing support. You're lucky they didn't ****ing lynch you. I hope they all get roundly booed every game next season every time they touch the ball.

We were shocking, no passion, no desire, no nothing. We don't deserve to reach the later stages. Feel for the people that have paid all that money to go over there...

The current English crop of players aren't actually a patch on the players Bobby Robson had back in '88 and '90.

You had Shilton, Adams, Robson, Beardsley, Lineker, Hoddle, and a couple more.

Gerrard must have had a big say in bringing Carragher back to international football. It says something that the highlight of the night was the joy of seeing Carragher get booked, so he's suspended for the next game.

I'm ashamed of Rooneys reaction. I'm actually glad I didn't see it first hand. I was already furious, nevermind him kicking a tantrum

Really spirited performance from the Algerians, showing nice technique and passing ability, which they would have won if they had a little more coolness, precision and firepower in the last third of the pitch.

If I was an England fan I'd be worried looking at Beckham and the royal brothers having tea and smiles and all relaxed. It's tin-hat time, no-one likes us we don't care Millwall bunker time, not cream teas and how-de-dos.

They didn't have Sir Wayne playing forr them setanta - oh wait a minute yes they did. Not enough confidence they could cuff the Engerlish and push forwards more and take advantage of a crap team.

There was so many openings that they didn't take advantage of. Just lost their composure in the final third.

The cross in the opening 15 mins when the bloke didn't just hit it but tried a pass back to the winger.- I blame their manager - just weren't set-up to cuff the poor team Algeria were playing.

Yeah, he should have swung a boot at it. And for the last 15 mins or so England were even more all over the place and they could have easily capitalized on it. Just didn't have it up front. Slovenia are handier in that department. It'll be very interesting to watch.

Start either Crouch or Defoe against Slovenia and we'll pick up three points, can't take the risk of having Heskey setting Rooney up and it not working for a third time in a row.
