I think although some characters will be missed Hollyoaks has always been a show where people come and go. There will still be some familiar choices around for now as the contracts there are only 1-2 years at a time.

The audience will then have to get used to the newbies and the producers will have to make sure that the characterisation is spot on and that the storylines make sense, it's a new era for the show.
