In talking to him online, knowing some from his group and being in their circles and just by watching them online you can see, unfortunately, David really does believe this nonsense.

The first I saw him and Crowder in 'drunken/high glory' I presumed they were a couple of comedians/pranksters who were making some kind of sarcastic documentary where they take the piss out of fringe Christian.

I don't think you or anyone else can say what Dave does or doesn't believe in his heart. Everyone who is religious has faith that is not open for negotiation and, like you say, nothing can convince them otherwise. That's their choice.

I intended to multi-quote and so just went with it. David might be one of the greatest actors on the planet,
but,
even worse I think it becomes quite clear he definitely believes in this 'charismania ecstasy' business.

People who think he is acting or faking this.. .. I think that might seem more plausible if you only knew about him and this stuff from BB highlights.
