Malta - been there 3 times and going again near Christmas. Idk, there's nothing really disimilar about it from other European places really but I just love it. The people are so warm and friendly, the weather is amazing (inbetween Italy and Africa so you get a good balance) and it's both commercial and historical.
Gorgeous country.
