Default Big Brother Rejects

Some of those 'hopefuls':

Mystic Steve...

Katie was *very* loud...

This guy thought it would get on Big Brother by doing his application video sitting on a toilet. He was wrong.

Bloke being chased by a dog

Shaun said that he likes to do 'crazy, mad things'...

I haven't seen any of these programmes yet . . . . . but I don't think I'm missing very much.

There's also an article in today's Online Sun describing some of the wannabes' desperate efforts to get into the BB House.

And look who's going to be doing a column on Big Brother every Saturday - our old pal Dominic Mohan!

If its anything like last year's set of programmes they were the complete pits.

And after telling everyone that no-one who stripped off, sang etc were among the housemates - we soon found out they were telling porky pies

I like the bit in the Sun article that says the romance of Helen and Paul was one of the greatest TV moments of recent years!!

I've seen some of the audition tapes on E4 and the ones I dislike the most are the girls, who all seem to have the same mantra to repeat over and over again .... "I'm fun....I get on well with loads of different people... I'm always up for a laugh" with each phrase being accompanied by a tilt of the head from side to side!

First of all

Hi Crystal!! Welcome to TiBB!

Secondly, I've seen some of the videos a couple of times now. Has anyone else seen Jody, the guy with the alien who keeps saying "Choose Jody"? That ones quite funny in a lame sort of way.

And then there's Deborah who starts off as a newcaster reporting on "Deborah" the best BB housemate ever who has all these fantastic qualities. One person I definitely WOULDN'T pick for the house.

Then there was a guy called Michael (36) who did a clever video which went round in a full circle. He actually said he was shy and quiet. Now there's someone a bit different who might do well in the house!

I've seen a few of these videos this morning and think some of them are actually quite good!!

Do we know if these are all the reject videos or do you think they are actually showing us "the housemate's" tapes?

I think two of last years housemates were shown on last year's reject shows, but we have no way of knowing till BB4 starts, so you never know we, might be watching a furture housemate or two

'I'll get into Big Brother next time'

May 23 2003

By Dean Valler

Big Brother is back tonight - Davina McCall, the chickens in the garden, the arguments, the love affairs, and the famous Big Brother chair - it’s all back on our screens.

And city viewers could have been watching one of our own in the house had Coventry kid Kirsty Lee been successful in her application.

Unfortunately, Kirsty will be watching it from her Whitley home, but the bubbly blonde has plenty more tricks up her sleeve to make her dream come true and get in the Big Brother house.

This time round was her first attempt and the fun-loving 25-year-old, of Abbey Road, Whitley, sent a video of herself in January to the Channel 4 show’s producers, but was not selected for the final phases.

“I had talked about doing it loads of times before and never actually gone through with it, but this time all my mates said I should have a go, so I thought why not?” said Kirsty.

Setting up a camera in the living room of mum Linda Lee, aged 45, in Strathmore Avenue, Stoke, Kirsty recorded a slot telling all about herself.

“Jonny, from Newcastle, who was on it last year, seemed himself when he applied, so I thought that was the best thing to do,” added the ex-President Kennedy School pupil.

“I just said I wasn’t going to pretend to be something I’m not and said I would be good fun in the house, I’ll get on with anyone and would like the experience.

“I’ve got no inhibitions and I wouldn’t have any motives, I don’t think I would win, but it would be a fantastic experience.”

A customer relations manager at Vehicle Remarketing Solutions, on Rowley Road, near Baginton Airport, Kirsty has also worked in a bar in Majorca and danced at clubs on the party island of Ibiza.

She also did a stint as a dancer in performances of Boogie Nights at Fatty Arbuckles restaurant on Stoney Stanton Road, where she was assistant manager.

Her first love is acting and that’s what she dreams of doing as a career - but stressed she would not go on Big Brother just as a platform to stardom.

“I know you don’t become famous just by being on Big Brother, and that’s not the reason I want to go in there,” she added.

“You get your Brians, Kates and Jades, but I would just love to go on there to see what it’s like - I think I’d really enjoy it.

“I’ll be on Big Brother - one of these years I will be there - without a doubt,” she added.
