At another thread, members were discussing about quality and quantity.
It reminded me of something. My husband and I used to go to a hall to practice dancing after work. A retired dance teacher was running the place. Normally there are about 20 social dancing couples like us and few competitors. If we dance quick step, competitors would dance like bullet train and we are like bicycle. One night, surprisingly there were only few social dancers and quite many competitors. It was a Blackpool Dance Week and many dancers had gone there. Competitors were preparing for the Blackpool. I said to the dance teacher "it is very quiet tonight?" He replied. "Quality tonight, not quantity"

I saw an thread the other day talking about house securities.
We hardly locked our house (bungalow) until this particular night. I could not see why a burglar should choose our house to burgle. Around 5 years ago, after midnight suddenly men entered our bedroom using a torch. I woke up by noise, men's voice saying "Obviously somebody live here". And left through the kitchen where the door was not locked. My husband said they were police. We have been wondering why they came to our house. Apparently my next door neighbour called a police the night, when they saw their neighbour's (other side) house had a light. They were renovating their house and nobody was living at that time. So they thought next door had burglar. They called the police. When they arrived, instead of going to the left side of the neighbour, they came to my house which was the right side. Anyway reason of the house light was we were told that the builder had forgotten to switch the light off before they went home. Nevertheless we never forget to lock the door before going to bed after that night. |

my girlfriend is back from Luxembourg in 2 weeks. I haven't seen her for 6 weeks now.
If I'm honest, I didn't miss her as much as I thought I would.
