Putting a ring on someone's finger doesn't mean your relationship suddenly improves, and anyway we're too young.

Is this the first hint that all is not well. Does this imply that the relationship is not all it could be because it needs to be improved ?

What is with the We are too young.

Legally that is a load of rubbish

I know a couple who were married at 17, and they are still together many years down the line

What is with this "We are not ready yet", are they still uncertain if they are supposed to be together ?

What does it mean to be ready ?

Is anyone ever truely ready ?

Am I missing something here ?

The probability of a split may be extremely very low at the moment, but it is not zero, and the comment such as Putting a ring on someone's finger doesn't mean your relationship suddenly improves is worrying.
