i just wanted to no if anyone has a video capture cards

and am i right in saying that they capture tv and then you can put them on your computer

There just basically TV Cards but with the ability to watch and record on your computer.. you can get ALOT of channels from them aswell depending on what one you get.

No, you record straight off the capture card, no need for an external TV, hence why there is an aerial plugged into the capture card in your picture. But i suppose if you wanted to you could connect it to your TV using them scart connectors that are provided.
