Hypocritical backtracker is all he is. Who the hell is HE to judge anyone, and if he didn't like it, he should have kept his views to himself - why castigate people like Rachael for it, how dare he? I give it another few weeks till the mag deals dry up and he'll be off.

As for not needing the money, in his original VT he makes it clear he is there for the FAME not the money - how much clearer can he be? Lucky him, not NEEDING the money, but he sure as hell loves the unwarranted attention he is getting, having bored us all rigid all summer with his horizontal sidekick.
