Its perfectly easy to put the people who are using GIFS on ignore, as has already been pointed out. And I'm sure if you ask the people that quote them NICELY they would have no problem stopping doing that.

And if they annoy you as much as you say they so, there is an option to turn off images. No way should they be regarded the same as text speech, the only reason this was said was because you do not like ONE member who is posting them. look around, smithy is not the only person to use gifs.

On the other hand, smithy I do agree you were overusing them a bit yesterday.
