Default The Million Pound Drop returns 25th October for an extended run

Nine episodes, broken down like this:

Monday 25th October - Friday 29th October [FIVE EPISODES]

Friday 5th and Saturday 6th November [TWO EPISODES]

Friday 12th and Saturday 7th November [TWO EPISODES]

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...drop-channel-4

So basically it runs for five continuous days, and then returns on the Friday and Saturday of the following two weeks.

Looking forward to this!

I read this article a few days ago and forgot to post it. Your post in that very thread reminded me, so I posted it

Absolutely can't wait for Monday

Hate how it's fallen victim to Channel 4's erratic scheduling though - two weeks of five episodes would have made loads more sense than what they've gone for.

It varies in length too - next week's shows all begin at 10pm, but Monday's ep ends at 11.10pm, Tuesday-Thursday's eps end at 11.05pm, and Friday's ep ends at 11.20pm!

It's also worth mentioning that only pairs have been allowed to apply for series two, so there will be no more solo contestants

The first time changes (11.05pm/11.10pm) are probably BB style slots for the advertising

Friday ending at 11.20pm is probably so they can start with fresh contestants next Friday. I think the last one in May ran over by about half an hour

Still curious as to why it fluctuates between 11.05pm and 11.10pm though... next Friday's ends at 11.20pm too so I imagine all the episodes after that will follow suit

Less than an hour to go! Play along @ http://www.channel4.com/drop

When they finish at 11.10pm they can get an extra ad break in, when it finishes at 11.05pm they can't. Presumably they've got stronger shows on the days it finishes at 11.05pm so don't save all the adverts for MPD
