This late string quartet from Beethoven is far from easy listening, but the final movement is surprisingly light and melodic. The movement was written as replacement to the more dissonant and abrasive Grosse Fuge, which audiences hated at the time.

I have a lot of admiration for Debussy too, but desperately need to buy more of his music. I've been buying so much Mozart lately, that poor Debussy and other composers hardly get a look in.

This is on my wishlist though, it's in five volumes.
