Imogen Thomas is said to be devastated that details of her affair with a footballer have been made public.

It was reported earlier this week that the Big Brother star had been seeing a married Premier League footballer for six months. He obtained a gagging order to avoid being named.

Thomas was allegedly "lovestruck" and is now "distraught" that her involvement in the affair was made public while his identity is protected. She was spotted crying outside her London home yesterday.

"He told her she was the love of his life," a source told The Mirror. "She said she was in love with him and he was in love with her. It wasn't purely built on sex. She thought it went much deeper. Imogen was lovestruck. The strain has really started to take hold and although she is putting a brave face on it, she is very tearful and says it's ruined her life."

She is now apparently considering selling her story and met with Max Clifford yesterday. He said: "Imogen never had any desire nor intention to sell her story, however if she had and was able to name the footballer she could easily command £250,000."

The identity of a "world famous" actor was also protected this week, following claims that he'd slept with Helen Wood - the prostitute with whom Wayne Rooney cheated on Coleen.
