I'm with Janette. They would probably get on really well and have a laugh, but I can't see anything more serious than a casual friendship developing. They have a large number of things in common and could no doubt do some good philosohpising over a tequilla, but I'm not sure how much more.

He's absolutely down to earth, and in no way a snob, but he still chose to study Politics at university, which suggests that he would want to discuss a little more than Posh and Becks with his nearest and dearest during a cosy night in.

... Of course, if Brian really is serious about Will, then this could well be what inspires him to really develop his knowledge of current affairs. If he starts to do really well on Brian's Brain then it could be a sign.
