The group that adjudicates (or as Four Ventures put it 'Monitors') is an exceptionally well known group called "Electoral Reform Services"

From their website

Elections of all sizes, including electorates of one to well over one million votes, have been administered by ERS.

Their clients include: The Law Society, Institute of Chartered Accountants, General Medical Council, United Nations, DFES, ACAS, House of Lords, European Union, The bulk of the trade unions in the UK, SmithKline Beecham, British Aerospace, IBM, Sainsburys, Forte Hotels, Rugby Football Union, PricewaterhouseCoopers, British Airways, British Airports Authority, BBC, "Brit Awards", RSPCA, National Trust, 26 of The London Boroughs, Nationwide Building Society, Financial Services Authority... Amongst 3,000 other organisations.

One can safely presume they have a lot of experience in the matter, and will not be able to be 'bought' into verifying that a poll is valid, when it's been performed incorrectly.

ERS are probably one of the best groups to trust in such things, ergo, I am more than happy to believe that the eviction poll was taken legally, correctly, and was not 'fixed'.
