The African housemates are so much more natural and opinionated that our lot.

It's probably got a lot to do though with the fact that it is the first BB Africa and the housemates are quite naive about what to expect like the BB1 and 2 housemates were in the UK.

The reason that the BB4 housemates are so reserved is that they've noticed how anyone who is controversial, loud or emotional, like, say, Penny, Narinder or Adele, gets voted out at the earliest opportunity, and often they are disliked by the public in the outside world.

You can't really blame the contestants for that. I'd say that fans who hold extreme views about HMs are as much to blame as anything else.

The BB4 housemates have all decided to keep their heads down for 9 weeks and hope that gets them to the final week. If they do they'll probably think that they've come out of the experience well even if the viewers don't think their entertaining.

The format needs to be shaken up for the next series somehow.
