I have not been impressed with this years BB at all, i had such high hopes that C5 would do a cracking job.

What i don't like is the fact that there is no live feed so they can manipulate the way we see housemates i.e Jay and the freezer.Also don't like the way that the noms are being changed with their familys doing some of the noms and that anton and jay could put other people up with them.

The big thing id don't like is the rule breaking with talking about noms and the letters to each other as well. You lot might think me petty but i am a true bb fan and have not missed an episode and i think they are being to soft on them, even Emma Willis has pointed this out.

So i have decided to not watch BB again (at least this year anyways)

I emailed channel 5 telling them that i think they have done a poor job and basically outlined what i have just said and also that the tasks are boring, and this is the response i got back:

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Big Brother.

We were sorry to read that you are not enjoying certain elements of the programme. It is now in its twelfth series and it is always necessary to refresh returning programmes by updating and evolving the content, format and style.

It is not in Channel 5's interests, or indeed any broadcaster's interests, to alienate our viewers but we all provide mixed schedules and, inevitably, there will be a dissonance of views about the content, format and direction of programmes.

With regards to a live feed from the Big Brother house, we did not make a 24 hour live feed from the house available online or on-air because we believe that prioritising social media is the way to get people involved in the show.

Nevertheless, we appreciate that you disagree with our approach and are grateful to you for taking the time to make us aware of your concerns. The details of your complaint have been noted in the Viewer Enquiries Report which is circulated throughout the company and seen by all relevant personnel.

They probably didnt show Jay ****ting in a freezer because it would just make the show look cheaper, and after the Shilpa racist thing BB is already looked down upon as 'trash TV' so showing someone ****ting would just make viewers switch off.

Due to lack of live feed we haven't seen

1) Jay's freezer poo
2) Just how vile Rebeckah, Jay and Anton have been to Aaron - so when Aaron seems upset and angry he comes across as OTT and making a drama out of nothing
3) Jem sticking (an unused) tampon into someone's (*guess who) hot drink
4) Jem dry humping a clearly horrified Alex
5) Jay urinating on an unimpressed Mark
6) Jay plotting to put a poo (that he had stuck in freezer) into Mark's tea
7) Jay making theats to Aaron
8) Heaven being picked on by Rebeckah
9) How nasty Jay and Anton were to Tashie when she tried and failed to join Wolfpack

What really p*sses me off, is C5 cover themselves by briefly showing clips of these on BBOTs when a HM has left as 'Worst Bits' to give the impression this was shown on main HL show.

Or they mention these things on Twitter and then delete the twitter message 30 seconds later as if these events never happened so its difficult to re-tweet

Or the put videos on FB and then remove them after 3 mins

Or they joke about it, Emma made a jokey reference to Jay's freezer dump now that it happened over a month ago, but it's funny how it was never discussed when it happened. So when people say 'oh C5 covered freezer-gate up' Emma W and C5 can say 'no we mentioned it'. Sly sly and sly.

It's like with CBB. Darren Lyons was awful, but because he's an ally/ friend of Desmond he got a great edit.

I am very disappointed that there was no live feed on this years BB. We only get to see an edited version for an hour a day. A lot of people i know have stopped watching BB for this reason. They could have put live feed on late at night like previous years, channel 5 isn't exactly overflowing with viewers at that time and would have increased their viewing figures. I think some of the tasks this year have been very good though, the Alex and the fake suntan one had me in stitches. I hope if there is another BB next year they will show live feed, that way we can see for ourselves a more genuine take on the housemates.

Pisses me off how they think 'it's okay because we use facebook x' is a justifiable excuse for no LF when C4 provided BOTH and to a better standard.

Rubbish.

I mean that's just not a valid reason for not providing us with a 24 hour live feed. They can have a live feed and all these social media updates at the same time, the real reason they won't is because they do want to alienate us, and they don't want all these things like Jay and the freezer to be seen because then they can cover their own backs and paint things how they want it to be painted.

Alexfront mentioned some things we've missed due to lack of livefeed but I think I've seen these in BBBOTS:

As for Jay's ****... there are likely many reasons (aside from keeping Jay from looking like the tools his is) for not having that type of thing aired on tv. Now that the rumors have spread I guess Emma things its okay to joke along too.

Constructive critisism and producers may have been greatful for it. Maybe a thread about bb 13 ideas would be good.


I have enjoyed this series, but i think they have far over edited, and far too many recaps, sometime show 3 time withing one episode, or a recap after adds of something we had seen ten mins previously was annoying.

If its money regarding LF then surly 2 episodes of bb each night could be done, early evening showing morning afternoon events focusing on tasks maybe (would need bleeps lol) then the usual 9/10 oclock.

I have no noms for first two weeks in new series, this would let us get to know HM, first eviction is completly down to public, and then say lowest 6 are made know to house and then DR noms to decide, maybe tweak that Idea a little, but public have the first say.

I think ch5 have done an ok job to be honest.

I can see why real avid fans haven liked this series though

No live feed just doesn't make sense.

The whole point of BB was that it was a show based on the book by George Orwell where everyone is under 24 hour surveillance...... hence the saying "Big Brother is watching you".

What the hell does social media got to do with it? Why don't they just stick people behind computers and mobile phones then instead of in a house with cameras and they can FB and tweet their way through the game show?

Altneratively, if we are not watching the HMs 24/7 then they need to change the name to "Little bits" or possible "40 Minute Rehash" instead of Big Brother.

If i was living in the bb house and i won a task that aaron and harry tried to fail and then harry and aaron schemed to buy a load of crap with it and then failed the next task on purpose for nothing (forcing me to starve) i think they might of needed to get security in.I do not blaim jay for getting mad and threatening aaron.
