i think davina told the crowd off mainly cos it was the finale. but you cannot stop peoples opinions just like that.. if you don't like a person then you air your feelings.

.. but the crowds can do what the heck they want ( apart from throwing stuff at the housemates) .. booing has become part of BB now. Personally i enjoy the booing!!

Booing is mental intimidation and there is no excuse for it.

Davina made a mild rebuke which was no more than a suggestion to the audience not to boo great housemates as she put it. No real backbone when it come to audience control.

It is one thing having the initial booing when the housemates come out but for the housemates to have to endure it during the interview is unacceptable and down right yobbish in nature......

The interviews cannot progress if mental bullying is persistent from some members of the audience. It is long over due that CH4 stipulated no booing during the interview or members of the audience would be evicted......

A lot of these silly boo mercahnts need ther come uppance.....

I'm glad she told the crowd not to be so harsh on the housemates, I don't mind booing, it's chanting that gets on my nerves. Eg. "Get Ais / Grace out" and "off off off".

She didnt want to get in trouble like in BB6s Makosi interview,Davina got alot of slack for that, and rightly so.
So this years she decided to speak up i suppose.

I don't care about the booing when they're evicted, but when they're in the house it ruins the concept of big brother - no contact from the outside world. Also, when they're enduring an outside interview, they should let the hms talk without feeling terrified..

I'm still shaking my head that alot of people do not know what admonished means?! It's not an obscure word so don't understand. Is it an age thing?

As for the booing. I don't like it. Although I took great delight in Nikki's expression when she came 5th and the bafflement on her face as she tried to figure out what she had done. I still don't like the booing.

However, when she refused to speak to Davina, my empathy disappeared.

I agree with that 100% but I suppose BB has clocked on to the fact that seeing housemates in a state of mental shock supposedly makes good TV viewing. Each to his own poison. I prefer eviction nights to have a celebration atmosphire rather than seeing someone made unhappy.

Its not just the housemates that are made miserable by the booing so too are their supporters. The booing merchants only consider there own narrow minded viewpoint

If she did it was a bit contradictive of what she said last year. In response to the makosi interview she sais you can not control the crowd at Big Brother and she didn't even try then, but now she has supposedly done it now. Bit of a cheek, but its good she has learned her lesson.

I agree, people seem to enjoy seeing someone be made to feel embarrassed or ashamed as some kind of 'karma' (that's if they didn't like the hm) which I think is pathetic.

I spose, but she could have told the crowd off and it wasn't shown (just like for the nikki interview) watch the video and make your own verdict. But I genuinely believe that Davina wanted them to shut up, but didn't want to make a big thing about it on live tv, and so, she carried on.

The people that were booing Aisleyne were mostly girls by the sound of it, they were probably jealous of her!

OMG I said something nice about Aisleyne!!

I agree with Bananarama 100%- and personally I think there has to be something very questionable about someone who enjoys seeing people get nasty things chanted at them by a crowd of people.

I can't understand why people were saying it was great that Davina admonished the crowd, and then admitted that they didn't know what it meant! If they don't know what it means, how can they think it's great that anyone does it?!

Because Davina dislikes the booing she was never going to be praising the audience. So most people reading it would figure out that she was being critical in some way, even if they didn`t know the exact meaning of the word admonish. They didn`t know what it meant then and by being upfront about it they do now !
