Negative footage is fair enough. but its the way they have gone out of their way to twist things into always being Aaron in the wrong.

The stranded task is the prime example of this. They left the task room because of 2 things, one being Anton had AGREED(not shown on the HLs) to let Aaron out as he needed painkillers//then went back on his word just to spite Aaron/Faye, and the second being jem was going to walk out anyway because BB had upset her by revealing her real age(also not shown). After this, we had the conversation in the kitchen between Aaron and Jay...where Aaron said(on the FB clip) 'I just couldnt stay in there anymore because of my leg'...which on the HLs, became 'I just couldnt stay in there anymore'. Purposely cutting him off mid sentence. There is no reason at all to go to such lengths with the editing just to screw the whole story totally.


Also, thats not ALL they have to show tbh. If you check the FB vids against what we regularly see(or saw, it seems a bit fairer now) on the HLs...Aaron is like a totally different person

Whilst I wouldn't call the audience mugs I do agree with the basic assertion in the OP.

The audience have seen enough good stuff of Aaron to really like him. The negative stuff laid on then with a trowel increases the audiences' level of indignation and makes them much more likely to vote for their done down hero. It's simple psychology.

At the very beginning he made the mistake of being honest and saying he sees the show as a game show, which its is, people get all riled up and they then see any thing he does as fake, it's also the same with the prize money, every one of them cant say a word about it without the comments, Its all they care about.

People are too precious with this view and it always stops a lot of housemates from just being their self's, in all the year's of Big Brother as they are worried it will look bad.

Aaron has shown us himself warts and all, but that one statement has been picked up on, the producers and Bbbots have heavily put a spin on it, editing and showing things to look a certain way, easily done by showing part's conversations and the like, to fit the way they want things to look.

They would have been less able to get away with at least some of this, if we would have had live feed.

They could hide things by not showing them ie: some of Jay's vile things, but the more we see, the more we make our own mind up and that does not fit with what they want on Channel 5's first BigBrother they want full control.

In doing this they have made BigBrother a farce and pantomime ( with Aaron the main villain ) instead of the show we know and love

Amazes me that regardless of the bad editing, Aaron is still immensely popular. Truth will out - and cone Friday, I hope to see Aaron claim his rightful place as winner of BB12!

I've watched every BB and its always happened to an extent, but with no live feed they have run riot this time.

Only a few of my fav's have won over the year's, this time it's more of a panto so not arsed.

I love BB and am sad channel 5 are ruining it grrrrr

I agree its hilarious the paranoid aaron fans blaming the editors. hes behaved like a boring spiteful selfish tedious petulant time most of the time. yet when the same is done to him he doesnt like it. the way he walked out on everyone when the letters were being read out (after hed had his of course) just showed he had no interest in other people and couldnt care less about ruining this huge moment for them and of course the overal experience

as for fame hungry. theyre all fame hungry. why else would anyone volunteer to go on 24/7 tv for 10 weeks or so? its money its fame and its the challenge. trouble is now everyone has seen the show and most get prepared and coached for it. alex looks coached to be the usual coached winner. not too pretty so wont alienate the womens vote, pretty to be dumb barbie so win over the chav vote, dont offer any opnion on anything ever so dont offend.....etc i think louise jay and tom and faye are the ONLy ones who have been themselves and worn their hearts on their sleeves. faye ruined her chances by letting uber bore aaron manipulate her. jemma also hurt fayes chances as she was the most humourless BB guest in history. louise or tom to win jay 3rd

I tend to agree with OP, but ultimately without live feed i find it impossible to say whether Aaron's has had a good or bad edit. One thing for sure, i'd say he's definitely provided the most footage this year, and for that reason alone i think he deserves the win. If anything i suspect C5 would be trying to show him in as good a light as possible this week, for voting revenue. I'd be pretty sure now that Alex is miles ahead anyways, so showing him in a negative light will only cost them money, and will unlikely affect the result of who wins.

Just an observation to the OP but C5 are desperate to make money out of this - and so want a winner they can sell to their target daily star/OK mag audience.

Aaron won't get his baps out for the Star or Nuts - Alex will.

Aaron won't parade his life over OK mag - Jay and Lou will.

There is a good reason why they don't want Aaron to win - as they won't be able to cash in on him after the show as he has a job and a kid to go back to. Lou, Alex and Jay will be much more compliant - and appeal to the wider interests of the Desmond empire.

I don't mind bias and unfair editing - but C5/BOTS are so bad at it that you know you are being conned and spun nonsense. They shouldn't employ so many 20 year olds who don't know how to do it without it seeming forced.

I don't understand this theory, or how the winner of BB will become a "cash cow" for C5? ..or how it would vary greatly from one HM to another being the winner. Plus..there's not much media interest in BB nowadays. I'm sorry, but it sounds like a clutching at straws justification as to why they might want a bad edit. I'm very dubious of this motive.

Because imo, Richard Desmond will make more money from the likes of Jay and Louise than he ever will from from the likes of Aaron. Jay and Louise seem the type to me who would sell their soul for a quick buck and as much as I'm not keen on Aaron I do think he has principles that wouldn't allow him to do that.

And you reckon they intentionally badly edited Aaron for 2 months to lose, just so they can squeeze some extra coins out of Jay & Louise once the series is over, to take a cut for selling their story in some cheapo tabloid deal. ??

Don't forget, Desmond owns Television X and Red Hot TV adult channels. I can see Louise agreeing to make films for these channels and possibly Jay too. The revenue Desmond could make from these would be a lot more than selling a few newspapers.

I'm not saying this is definitely the case, just throwing a possible reason into the mix for C5 pushing certain HM's.
