I can and people often vote MORE for their evicted Hm's girlfriends/ friends/ allies than their favourite as they are the ones who are contenders. Eg Tom fans know he won't win so don't bother voting, but will vote for Alex as she is a hot contender whereas Tom was cannon-fodder.
