Bryan Kirkwood is the worst for new characters. The Moon Brothers, Lola, Derek all been introduced this year and all are awful. I hope they're all gone by this time next year. When a new EP comes in first thing they should do is cull the cast starting with them three.

Hope Bryan leaves soon, None of his characters or storylines have been a success. Yuseph, Lola, Eddie Moon, Mandy. Then there was Vanessa and her clan. All unlikeable. The storylines have been a drag, this Masood one is just terrible and it did have potential. The baby swap was terrible from the off and we lost a great character that he ruined from it (Ronnie)

Yes, completely agree. Bryan Kirkwood is the root of all the problems at EE and he needs to leave. He has ruined most of the characters and is responsible for a load of ridiculous, unbelievable storylines. The blame for EE's downfall in 2011 and it's general awfulness lies firmly with him.

I don't mind Derek but the Moon brothers and Lola have been a disappointment.

On the flip side this is the same producer who gave us Michael Moon, Yusef and Cora. I don't understand it. (Yusef is a good character it's just the storyline is becoming tedious)

Mandy Salter wasn't introduced by Bryan Kirkwood. She is an old character from years back and her characterisation is consistent with what she was then.

I think it's a tall order to have a soap where no characters are unlikeable. There's just varying degrees of unlikeable and a character has to have redeeming traits; see Janine.
