Default And the seventh person to be evicted from the Big Brother house is...

...GOS!

The eviction program will be going out at 10pm this evening on Channel 4.

Sticks, how many times have your prophesies not come true this Big Brother?

Looks like you might have to pass your post onto somebody else...

I know! The big brother audience has made me so angry the way that they are always voting out the interesting people who bring life and humour to the house...leaving just the safe old boring ones! The house was much lively when the likes of Anouska, Jon and Federico were around so why vote them off? So tht all can be safe and sound? RR!
I must admit that I did vote for Jon to be evicted, but that was only because I wanted Federico to stay- but when Jon was on BBLB the following week I truly regretted wanting him to leave, he's just SO entertaining!!!

If it were, we'd have said x, y and z will be in 1st, 2nd and 3rd immediately... but we can't - the game isn't about statistics. Further, there's not enough data to create realiable statistics anyway. If you think there is, TiBB will rally together to send you on a new statistics course.

Even if Big Brother was a show based upon statistics... the statistics demonstrate that the majority of Big Brothers NEVER have an all-male final...

I am making my predictions based on statistics of what happens in the past, rather than claiming any psychic powers.

There was one guy several years ago who predicted a plane crash at a certain location, and that it would have red on the tail fin, all through airline crash statistics

I am just trying out his technique, unfortunately it does not handle well statistical outliers.

When you graph things those are usually the points you discount so you can get the line of best fit.

Such statistical predictions rely on statistics that are reliable, and somewhat linear.

The problem with applying any form of statistical analysis to something like Big Brother is that:

i) There's not enough recorded statistical evidence to be able to make reliable predictions as of yet

ii) Big Brother will never be linear, the results of a given Big Brother show/year will rely on the qualities of the people place inside of the house.

Think logically. Plane crashes, and people's personalities & behaviour belong in totally different areas of analysis. Plane crashes belong to statistics, Humans belong to Psychology.

So, before citing statistics... think whether they even apply first... It's what's referred to as "the golden rule of statistics"

Gos was evicted by a 46.3% share of the public vote.

This ties in rather well with other (larger scale) web polls.

I don't think it really matters who is right or wrong, the fun is in the guessing,Sticks bless you,you will always add a bit of humour with your daft statistics

In the end we find out anyway
so what does it matter?
I thought Gos was a star tonight he was funny and very natural and I thought it was such a shame the crowd weren't there for himhe would have really enjoyed the atmosphere

It was sad to see Gos emerge through the barriers with no crowd. I would of thought some of the locals could have turned up. His interview went well, he displayed more emotion and energy in 10 minutes with Davina than he did throughout the 41 days in the house . And when they showed the compilation of him sleeping I honestly thought that was his best bits!

And Sticks, I do enjoy reading your posts and no hard feelings I am just pleased that the majority of people who voted were not shallow enough to vote for Nush on the basis she is a nice looking girl. And I hope the public will continue to vote taking into consideration house-mates personalities and ability to entertain the public.

It was sweet the first time I haven't heard booing in weeks. They can do this every week as far as I'm concerned.

I've only just watched Gos's eviction cos we were away overnight. I felt so sorry for him. If they couldnt get 'rent a crowd' why didnt they have the evicted housemates as normal.

Was he aware of the fact that no crowd were going to be there? After all has been said before 'it was his night' and it was an anti-climax.

though must say his interview with Davina was spot on. He showed the real Gos that had got lost in the house.

I felt gutted on Gos's behalf that he didn't have the traditional welcome from the crowds and all the atmosphere that entails.

Davina said there was a 1000 people there on Friday night. In my wildest imagination I just cannot believe that a healthy percentage of them would of wanted and could have stayed overnight to welcome the ecictee out.

A part crowd would have been better than none. Ch4 must have told them "Don't bother to come back or stay) and made no arrangements for those that would have returned,

I think it is quite unfair and disgusting....... Yet another BB4 downside.

To be fair to BB (A first ? )

To have the crowd there, they need some kind of entertainment's licence. Because the incident happened on Friday night, there was no way they could get a licence for the Saturday night at short notice.

Hence they were not allowed to have the crowd.

Plus the people there would have made arrangements anyhue as they did not count on there being a postponement of the eviction.

Yes that's right, the Elstree residents have complained in the past about the amount of noise on eviction nights and the prodicers of Big Brother have to get permission for a crowd on eviction nights.

I think this is the reason that they didn't have crowds at the evictions on Celebrity Big Brother either.

As far a Gos is concerned I can't quite understand why he's getting heaps of praise now he is out of the house.

The fact that he came across as more lively in his interview says to me that he was surpressing his personality in the house for the sake of the game - trying to be the quiet, unassuming one that agreed with everyone and got to the end.

I think that the housemates that deserve the greatest respect are the ones who go out on a limb a bit more and make the show interesting.

Your spot on James why didn't he show this in the house, it's too late now. Mind you most of them have been suppressing their personalities. Until Lisa came along that is, now were seeing the side of the people that really deserve to win it, or not as the case may be.

I don't regard that as a valid excuse for them. TV companies worth there salt plan for the unexpected. Clearly they had not done so this time. They should cater for the possibility of a major technical hitch and yes that would include obtaining a licence in advance to cover for the unexpected as neccessary. As I said another downer for BB4 that could have been avoided.
