Launched last month in the US but now available in the UK:

Apple has now officially rolled-out its iTunes Match subscription service in the UK, following 24 hours of confusion surrounding the launch.

iTunes Match appeared briefly to users in the UK, France and Australia on Wednesday before it was quickly pulled, with Apple promising to refund those who'd signed-up.

However, iTunes users in multiple territories are reporting that the iTunes Match tab has returned offering a year's subscription for £21.99 a year.

Not only is the service live but, lo-and-behold, it's actually working, users have told the MacRumors and Macgasm blogs.

The service scans your hard-drive for music and replaces your tired old MP3s with high-quality 256kbps tracks from iTunes.

Members can then stream their collection from iOS devices, Apple TV and iTunes-enabled Macs and PCs.

Apple hopes the service will keep users in the iTunes ecosystem rather than switching to alternative cloud lockers from Amazon and Google.

This is amazing Especially considering some songs/albums are really hard to find in i+ quality. £22 for a whole year is really cheap too!

I bought this earlier and it takes ages to match all the i+ songs, it's been stuck on the last song in my library for about an hour now.

urm im on the last bit the 'uploading artwork and remaining songs'

and ive checked my library and none of the ****ing songs have changed what is going on

They should all change to i+ when the last step has been completed.

this is such a mess its uploading stuff thats already on the itunes store :L

and its like uploading 1 song from an album but not the rest

Yep, I'm having problems with it too. No help from Apple either, you would have thought they could at least release a video or something to help explain it. Kinda regretting buying it now.

i found out how to fix it

to swap everything to i+ quality you need to delete if from your pc but not icloud, then go to view > show music not on this computer and you can download everything that way

i love this now

everything from your library or whatever you wanna get in i+ quality

on the column thing theres one called icloud status and it tells you if its been matched or uploaded (couldnt find a match)

this explains everything
