I never really liked CTR that much, found it difficult to control and hated the CTR tokens, Mario Kart is infinitely better. Crash Bash on the other hand, despite not being created by Naughty Dog, is probably my favourite party game ever.

IMO, Mario Kart hasn't got an inkling on CTR.
